I AM WORRIED I RECEIVE A LARGE BILL AT THE END OF MY MATTER WITH HIDDEN COSTS INVOLVED.

We are upfront and transparent about our fees. With the exception of litigation, most of our services can be done at an “all inclusive rate” with no hidden costs. When it comes to litigation, these costs depend on the complexity of the matter. You will be provided with a fee schedule upfront in this case.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?

We require an ID copy of proof of address for every appointment. You will be provided with an additional list of documentation needed depending on the nature of your query.

DO YOU ONLY HANDLE PROPERTY AND ESTATE MATTERS OR OTHER TYPES OF LEGAL ISSUES AS WELL?

Property and estate management is what we specialise in, however, this does not mean we wont be able to assist you with any other problem you might have. Get in touch with us and we will advise you from there, if we cant help you we will refer you to a trusted and well known firm to assist you.

I AM GETTING MARRIED SOON. WHEN DO WE NEED TO PREPARE OUR ANTENUPTIAL CONTRACT?

It is essential that you sign your antenuptial contract BEFORE getting married. From there we have three months in which to register your contract (this can be before or after you get married).

MY FAMILY MEMBER PASSED AWAY AND WE CANNOT FIND A WILL. WHAT DO WE DO NOW?

If there is no will the estate will be administered in terms of intestate succession. We can assist with the administration and winding up of these intestate estates.

DO WE HAVE TO PERSONALLY SIGN THE ANTENUPTIAL CONTRACT?

It is preferable that you sign the contract yourselves but if you do not have time to meet to sign the contract we can arrange that the contract is signed on your behalf using a power of attorney.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO FINALISE A DECEASED ESTATE

This is very difficult to say as every Estate will differ depending on the challenges that arise during the administration of this particular Estate. We endeavour to finalise an Estate within 1 year; however Estates with many challenges may take longer to finalise.
